ShipPlus allows you to manage invoices with advanced ShipPlus setup in 2 ways.

Customising Invoices

ShipPlus offers a template customiser for invoices page. Even though you can customise invoice page using CSS, there are plenty of customisation options available.

To customise the invoices page,

  • Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Invoices
  • Click on customise invoice button
  • Customisation Options,
    • Store Information
    • Store Icons & Logo
    • Site Name & URL
    • Store VAT info
    • Store Address
    • Fonts, Colors, And Dimension Options
    • Header & Footer text
    • Custom CSS

You can customise invoice page using available customisation options.

Document Information

With ShipPlus, you can customise information displayed on your invoices and other invoice related documents.

Here you will find 3 types of invoice documents,

  1. Invoices
  2. Packing List
  3. Pick List

You can customise all these documents to display product and order information in Invoices using ShipPlus.

How to customise invoices setup?

To customise ShipPlus invoices setup,

  • Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Invoices Tab > Invoice section
  • Display Order Details – You can choose to display different types of order details like shipping method, customer details, customer notes, valid coupons and much more
  • Display Additional Product details – You can show additional product details like Product thumbnails, SKU, Tax info, and much more.
  • Invoice Number Customisation – With ShipPlus, you can create custom invoice numbers.
    • Custom invoice suffix – Add a custom suffix before invoice number
    • Custom invoice prefix – add a custom prefix after invoice number
    • Same order numbers – It will use order number as a invoice number

How to customise Packing List setup?

To customise ShipPlus packing list setup,

  • Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Invoices Tab > Packing List setup
  • Display Order Details – You can choose various available order details to showcase in packing list.
  • Display Additional Product Fields – Display additional product details like SKU, total weight and much more.
  • Display Document Fields – Showcase document fields like header, footer and terms pages.

How to customise Pick List setup?

To customise ShipPlus Pick list setup,

  • Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Invoices Tab > Pick List
  • Display Additional Product Fields – Display additional product details like SKU, total weight and much more.
  • Groups – Select on what basis product groups should be divided.

Printing Invoices

ShipPlus will allow you to print the invoices, packing lists and pick lists.

  • Go to WooCommerce > Orders 
  • Use icons besides orders to use printing function

ShipPlus also allows you to perform printing functions in bulk with orders. Also, you can add do more than only printing invoices with ShipPlus,

  • Print Invoices

  • Print Packing List
  • Email Packing List
  • Print Pick List
  • Email Pick List

How to print documents?

Follow the below steps to print documents,

  • Go to WooCommerce > Orders
  • Choose your preferred orders on which you want to apply action
  • Click on bulk action button
  • Choose your action
  • Click on apply
  • Check the confirmation popup
  • Process will begin after you check the confirmation

PDF Configuration

With ShipPlus, you can generate Invoice PDF and send them automatically to your customers.

ShipPlus will add a new tab under your WooCommerce settings named “PDFs”

You will need to configure the PDF setup in order send a pdf invoice once the order is completed.

  • Go to WooCommerce > PDF
  • Open PDF Invoice tab 

Only some of the fields are required. There are some additional fields that you can leave if you do not wish to share in the invoice.

We recommend taking advice from your preferred legal expert to learn what information invoices must have based on your country.

  • General Setup
    • Debugging – Use debugging mode to check for errors and testing purposes.
  • PDF Settings
    • PDF Format – Chose your preferred PDF format from available options (You will need to know more about available options before choosing)
    • Trigger – Chose when PDF should be sent.
    • PDF size – Choose what sized PDF you want use for invoice.
    • PDF orientation – Choose orientation for invoices.
    • PDF Logo – Add your logo in invoice.
  • Store Information
    • Store Name – You will need to add your store name in this field.
    • Legal Name – You will need to give full legal name in this field.
    • Government Issues ID – You will need to give information about your store based on government issues document.
    • Tax Info – Add your business tax info in this field.
  • Invoice Numbers
    • Sequential Numbering – Enable sequential numbering for Invoices
    • Invoice prefix – Add custom prefix to invoice numbers
    • Invoice suffix – Add custom suffix to invoice numbers.

Manage PDF Invoices

Invoice PDFs are stored in a temporary file in your hosting which cannot be accessed by browser. 

You can manage pdfs in many ways with ShipPlus,

  • Create manual PDF Invoice
  • Bulk manage PDF Invoice
  • Export PDF

How to Create PDF Invoices?

  • Go to WooCommerce > Orders
  • Activate actions tab from screen options
  • You will see a PDF icon action
  • Click on the icon

How to Bulk Manage PDF?

  • Go to WooCommerce > Orders
  • Choose invoices that you want to manage
  • Choose your action from the bulk action dropdown
  • Click on Bulk Action

How to Export Invoice Data?

You can do the following actions using Bulk Editor,

  • Export single PDF
  • Export Bulk PDF

Follow the below steps to export invoice pdf in bulk,

  • From orders tab, choose the invoices you want to export
  • From bulk edit dropdown, Choose export
  • You will see a zip file link in the notification area
  • Download the invoice data in PDF format in bulk using zip folder link.

{D} Day of the month without leading zeros
{DD} Day of the month with leading zeros (2 digits)
{M} Month, without leading zeros
{MM} Month, with leading zeros (2 digits)
{YY} Year (2 digits)
{YYYY} Year (4 digits)
{H} 24-hour format of an hour without leading zeros
