Stock Notifications

ShipPlus allows you to add a notice for out of stock products.

If you manage your WooCommerce store products with stock manager, you will need to manage out of stock products. ShipPlus shows a notice to your customers when product is out of stock. Also, ShipPlus adds a notifier which customer can chose to get notified when product is back in stock.

Configuration Requirements

  • Action Scheduler
  • WP CRON
  • SMTP setup – You will need an active SMTP email service to successfully send large number of emails without any errors.
  • Out of stock visibility settings – You will need to setup stock visibility setup in WooCommerce.

How to setup Out of stock visibility setting?

  • Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory
  • Uncheck Out of stock visibility
  • Click on save

ShipPlus Stock Configuration

Before creating stock requests, You will need to follow the stock request setup. ShipPlus will add a new tab under your WooCommerce menu. Follow the below documentation to learn everything about ShipPlus stock notices.

  • Go to WooCommerce > Stock Requests
  • You will find a new section made by ShipPlus plugin
  • You will find 3 stock request tabs – Analytics, Request, and Activity
  • Analytics – It is a analytics page for complete ShipPlus stock notices. You can learn important customer and product related data from this page. It will show your store’s most demanded and popular product info based on customer requests.
  • Requests – It is the complete list of requests and submissions made by your customer for out of stock/ unavailable products
  • Activity – It displays the action taken by ShipPlus plugin for requests. 

How to setup Stock request for my store?

  • Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Stock requests
  • You will find a new settings tab created by ShipPlus plugin.
  • Stock requests settings page manages all the operations related to product’s stock notices and customer emails.
  • Account Settings
    • Create user account with mail – It will create a user account with customer’s given mail
    • Require account – Customer will need an account to create a stock request.
    •  2FA – Customer will need to verify their request with a verification mail to create request.
  • General Settings
    • Stock threshold – Minimum product stock number required to activate notifications.
  • Shop Page
    • Showcase a message for out os stock products in shop page
    • Logged in users – Shows stock notification message for only logged in users
  • Consent Notice
    • Opt-in Notice – It will showcase a notice to customer about email updates
  • Live Track Number – It will display a number on how many customers have signed up for product’s notification
  • Form Customisation
    • Form Text – Change text shown to customers for stock notice.
    • Filled up Text – Change text shown to customers after they have filled the signup form
    • Button Text – Change button text for signup

Stock Request Management

With ShipPlus, you can manage stock requests created by customers. It will help you understand more about customer interests and demanded products.

To view the created requests,

  • Go to WooCommerce > Stock requests > Notifications
  • You will find all the requests made by your customers for out of stock products.

From notifications tab, you can manage stock requests easily.

  • You can filter requests page by products and request status.
  • You can search for the requests manually from search bar
  • You can use data based filter
  • You can filter requests by status
  • You can export the request list into CSV format

You can use customer details for marketing purposes. ShipPlus makes it easier to export customer details.

What is a request status?

As someone creates a stock request, ShipPlus flags it into 3 types,

  • Active – When customer creates a stock request from product page, It is flagged as active.
  • Stocked – When requested product is back in stock, It is flagged as stocked.
  • Email Sent – When product comes in stock again and notification email is generated and sent to the customer, It is flagged as Email Sent.

Manual Stock Request

With ShipPlus, you can create manual stock requests for your customers.

To manually create request,

  • Go to WooCommerce > Stock requests > Notifications
  • Click on add new button
  • Add customer name or email address
  • Chose which product to assign
  • Add status level
  • Click on create request

Stock Request Analytics

With ShipPlus, you can view the request insights with inbuilt request analytics tab.

You can check all ShipPlus stock request operations, request status, product information, most wanted products, most requested products, most delayed products and much more.

ShipPlus inbuilt analytics dashboard helps you understand crucial stock information like,

  • It will show analytics upto 30 days.
  • High in demand products
  • Total number of sign ups separately and for products
  • Most delayed and waited products
  • Find your most loyal customer details

Email Customisation

ShipPlus uses in-built WooCommerce email format. It is the default template customiser that WooCommerce uses.

You can access the template customiser from,

WooCommerce > Settings > Emails

In the WooCommerce email customiser, you will find 3 new entries made by ShipPlus,

  1. Restock Notice
  2. Restock Signup
  3. Restock Verification.

Customising email templates is not a core feature of ShipPlus. as ShipPlus is not a email customiser plugin. But, there are many customisation options already available which you can use in the edit field.
