To create a menu based on taxonomies you have to first understand that what are taxonomies,

A taxonomy within WordPress is a way of grouping posts together based on a select number of relationships. By default, a standard post will have two taxonomy types called Categories and Tags which are a handy way of ensuring related content on your website is easy for visitors to find.

This plugin supports taxonomies from WordPress & WooCommerce.

Total 6 taxonomies are supported which are,

• Categories (category)
• Tags (post_tag)
• Formats (post_format)
• Product categories (product_cat)
• Product tags (product_tag)
• Product shipping classes (product_shipping_class)

If you have WooCommerce enabled then you will see all the taxonomies, if you only have wordpress then you will only see post & page based taxonomies.

To create a taxonomy based menu choose Taxonomy in the Menu source.

Select the taxonomy menu that you desire and click on finish.

Your taxonomy based menu if ready now.
